6 Ways To Make Extra Money From Home

Wouldn’t it be great if you had some extra money every month?

Living paycheck to paycheck isn’t living at all.

A few years ago, I was working two retail jobs so that I could pay for all my bills.

By the time I had paid for all my expenses, I simply had nothing left. Going out with my friends, taking vacations, or even shopping was not a possibility for me. I was in a state of financial insecurity.

After nearly three years of working two full-time jobs, I stumbled upon a guide on how to make extra money from home.

Although I was skeptical at first, I decided to give a few of those methods a try. Within a few weeks, I had earned a substantial amount of extra income. Sounds pretty good, huh?

If you’re tired of being in a financial rut, you have come to the right place.

I am about to show how you can start your way from financial instability to financial security!

What You Will Need:

  • A computer
  • A stable Internet connection
  • Time

1. Sell Your Unwanted Stuff Online

This is by far the easiest and fastest way to earn money from home.

Like most people, I am sure you have junk accumulating somewhere in your home. Why not tidy up a bit and sell all those things you aren’t using? If you’re lucky, you may come across a valuable antique you didn’t know you had.

When it comes to selling your unused items, there are various platforms you can utilize. Obviously, eBay and Craigslist are two of the most popular options.

With just a picture and a few words, you could be on your way to earning some serious cash.

2. Become a Virtual Assistant

If you have a few hours of free time every day, this method can be extremely profitable.

Virtual assistants (VAs) assist individuals in various tasks over the Internet. As a virtual assistant, your duties will strictly depend on what your employer needs. Some typical tasks include: data entry, making phone calls, scheduling events, responding to emails, or even planning trips.

In my experience as a VA, I made a lot of phone calls to various clients, as well as perform quite a bit of data entry.

I was earning nearly $12 an hour for performing simple tasks! Sounds nice, right?

You don’t need any skills or experience to be a VA. Virtually, anyone can do it.

As a virtual assistant, you can find an array of work on freelance websites such as Freelancer or Upwork.

3. Share Your Opinion in Surveys

Do you enjoy sharing your opinion? Would you like to help various companies test out new products or advertisements? If so, this may be the perfect method for you.

According to a Lifepoints review, as an online survey taker, you will be participating in various surveys that ask an array of questions. You could be asked questions concerning your viewing experiences, how your personal experience with a companies’ product.

Over the course of a month, I earned an extra $200 for only answering a few questions while sitting at my desk.

Websites such as Swagbucks and InboxDollars offer the perfect platform for anyone interested in taking online surveys.

4. Complete Micro-Tasks

Micro-tasks are simply short tasks that can be completed in a small amount of time. You typically only earn a few cents per task, but that amount can add up rather quickly when you are completing hundreds of tasks per hour.

Typical tasks typically include:

  • Choosing the correct spelling of various search terms
  • Determining if a website is suitable for a general audience
  • Finding the item number for a pictured product
  • Rating the search results for selected keywords
  • Determining if two entities are the same
  • Choosing the appropriate category for various products
  • Categorizing the tone of an article

There are different platforms you can work for to complete micro-tasks. Two of my favorites are Clickworker and Amazon Mechanic Turk.

If you only spend a couple of hours a day doing micro-tasks, you could add an extra $1000 to your monthly income.

5. Pet Sit

Do you love animals? Would you enjoy taking care of someone else’s pet while they were out of town? If so, I bet you’ll love this idea.

As a pet sitter, you can make upwards of $11 an hour for simply taking care of someone else’s pet. Essentially, you would be walking, feeding, watering, and interacting with your client’s pet.

Although I didn’t try this method, it seems to be a rather enjoyable method to earn some extra income.

Websites such as Care.com have created the perfect platform for connecting pet sitters with various clients.

6. Borrow Money Online

Do you need money FAST? If the previous methods have not suited you, a payday loan may be the option. Thankfully, companies such as ELC Loans have created a super quick and easy way to borrow money.

For those who may not know, a payday loan is essentially an advance on your wages.

Keep in mind: payday loans can be expensive; however, they are a great option for someone who may need the money for an unexpected bill or unforeseen repair.

I certainly hope you have enjoyed this tutorial.

Just by incorporating a few of these methods into my daily life, I have created a substantial amount of extra income for myself.

I no longer live paycheck to paycheck. In fact, I have quite a bit of extra money to play with or invest at the end of the month.

If you check them out as I did, I am confident you will see an increase in your income as well.
